Original German WWII Luftwaffe Gravity Knife by Solinger MetallwarenF International Military
This is a genuine German pilot and paratrooper gravity knife that was issued to the German Armed Forces about 25 years ago. The knife has an olive-drab handle and black metal parts with the exception of the spike and blade. This knife also has a marlin spike designed to wedge knots apart.

This German Luftwaffe Gravity Knife [from the Helbig Family collection] has very fine nickeled mounts throughout which are all in mint condition with good strong springs. The marlin spike appears to have its original tip and it has a waffen amt in the corner featuring a stickbird with the number 5 in his belly. The grip plates are a fine grained walnut both of which are in fine condition.
